Real Ales Always on

Dry and refreshing with a lingering bitter finish. An aroma that reminds you of the seaside.

Edgars Pale Ale (EPA) is brewed for the Edgar Wallace Pub by the Nethergate Brewery on the Essex/Suffolk borders in the beautiful Stour Valley. It is an excellent amber-coloured session bitter (3.5%abv) with a clean, crisp taste. Plenty of malt and hop bitterness. Brewed using Maris otter pale malt, Crystal malt and malted wheat. Challenger hops for bitterness and Fuggles for aroma.

Ales for May 2008

A golden coloured refreshing ale with a citrus hop aroma, quenching fruitiness in the mouth and a long hoppy finish. Brewed with Lincolnshire malt and Cascade hops.

Using gently kilned malt with a wonderful blend of American hops are added during the brewing process gives this pale beer beautiful poise. The hops are very noticeable and lead to a crisp aftertaste.

An easy drinking pale ale. Light and hoppy with delicate floral notes and a well balanced finish.

An amber coloured bitter, perfectly blended malt and hops makes this well-rounded beer balanced and refreshing.

A light refreshing bitter, pale amber in colour with distinct hoppy overtones. The subtle addition of real Cornish Honey will give your palate a buzz.

This impressive brown/gold beer has a strong fruity aroma. Bitterness in the initial taste gently slips to allow the full impact of the hops to burst through

Aromatic roast malts give a deep red colour to this beer, brewed annually to coincide with Mild month. The use of Fuggle hops give a mild level of bitterness and aroma.

A stunning dark ruby colour, on the nose understated dark malts combine with fresh green hops to give an appealing aroma that combines fresh and dried fruit, almond and vanilla notes.

Crisp pale ale with delicate hop flavours and light maltiness. Refreshing and easy drinking.

A pale premium quality cask ale with a complex palate and a refreshing light hop character.

A golden spring ale brewed with First Gold hops which provide a well balanced bitterness with fruity, slightly spicy, citrus notes

Chocolate and Crystal malt combined to give a ruby red coloured beer with Fuggles and Styrian Goldings blended for a citrus flavour.
